David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

The comedian

Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
