James understood his monumental run of putting up 10+ points was in danger. At the decisive instant, however, it didn't concern him.

The smart move meant distributing the basketball – which is exactly what he did. With that selfless act, his remarkable run finished.

LeBron's staggering run of over 1,200 straight NBA regular season games with 10+ points was snapped during a recent game, when basketball's greatest scorer finished with a mere eight points during the Los Angeles Lakers' close triumph versus Toronto. He made the clutch helper, setting up teammate Rui Hachimura for a three-pointer to win the game.

“None,” James said when asked on the record concluding. “The important thing is we won.”

An Unselfish Play Delivers the Win

LeBron had the chance to tried to secure the game – and preserved his record – in the closing seconds, yet he opted to pass to his teammate in the left corner. Hachimura sank it, and James celebrated immediately.

“Just playing the game the right way. Make the right play,” James explained. “That’s just been my M.O.. It's how I was instructed to play. I’ve done that for two decades.”
